Night Show - View through telescopes
Your tour guide Peter Starr has a Masters Degree in astronomy and was a Manager at the famous Siding Spring Observatory, Australias largest optical telescope facility.
1 hour and 15 minute show includes:
Powerpoint presentation in our theatrette.
Talk about what we will see and some basic astronomy.
Show live images of the Moon or planets.
View the planets, stars, and galaxies through our new 17" telescope in our new observatory.
Up to 6 telescopes depending on number of people attending.
Point out constellations, stars and planets with a laser pointer
Explain in detail about what you are looking at.
Answer your questions on the night sky and universe.
Astrophotography with your canon or nikon SLR Camera.
We take 1 photo of a colourful nebula using your SLR camera through the telescope at the end of the show.
Astro Extra Option
We take photos with your SLR Camera through the telescope for an extra hour after the final night show
Group size is limited and cost is $55 per camera.
Available after the final show and you must book the normal night show.
Avaliable to Canon & Nikon Cameras and a remote shutter release is required.
Astro Exclusive Option
Avoid the crowd and have a personilised telescope viewing show for yourself or family.

17 inch Telescope Hire
Hire the 17" Telescope for visual observing or astrophotography throughout the night.
Cost $88 per hour
Access our 17 inch telescope online using our SBig 11000 CCD astronomical camera to take images of nebulae, galaxies and star clusters.
Access online in real time or request images to be taken for you and sent to you online the next day fully calibrated with bias, dark, and flat fields applied.
Filters available: Red, Green, Blue, Hydrogen alpha. Oxygen III & Sulfur II coming soon.
Cost is $88 per hour.
